So we thought we’ll announce our latest feature like a late night infomercial just for some spark.
Well then, be tired no more! Banish your old, outdated, non-working, disconnected, incomplete email addresses and numbers from your database to the black abyss which they belong in.
Using the Data Filter Pro 3000 feature in MyGuestlist, you can now delete & exterminate all those numbers which are disconnected, all those emails which are bouncing and all incomplete entries entirely.
Boo, hiss and brush these bacteria spreading germs off your list. They don’t belong there.
Call in the next 15 minutes and we’ll even throw in a FREE data filtering service at NO ADDITIONAL COST! Let us clean up your database and weed out any of the non-working entries, all for the freemium price of Zero.
How great is that?
Hurry though, limited time offer!
Hi-ho ladies and gents
After some thorough testing, the facebook app is live and ready for use. Let’s go for a little rundown tour on how it works shall we?
Step 1
Go to http://apps.facebook.com/[venue_name]
And for all of you playing at home, [venue_name] is where you type in the name of your venue/club/bar/promotions name.
Step 2
You should see the following screen pop up. Click allow, to install the app on your profile.

Step 3
Visit your profile and click on the + sign in your tabs
Step 4
Type “guestlist” in the text field and select our application. In this case, it is called Demo Guestlists for testing purposes.
That’s it!
Your profile will now have a guestlist tab which looks like this
Your patrons can now click on that link and put in their guestlists/VIP bookings or whatever it may be. Remember, that “Platnium Club” is just a demo, fictional venue and the form below is completely customisable to your liking.
The beauty and benefit of this whole process comes down to two main points:
Question: That’s all well and good, but I don’t have a profile for my venue, I have a page.
Answer: Not to worry. Here is how you can add the app for your pages.
To start, follow Steps 1 & 2 from above.
Then navigate to the bottom of the page and click on “Page build by [venue_name] guestlists”
You can now add the application to your page by clicking on the Add Page button
Now all you need to do is just choose which page you want to the application to live on and follow the prompts. I quickly whipped up a demo page just to show you what it would look like when it is all done
Here I have added two guestlist applications. This can be useful for venues or promoters which run multiple nights or events and want to filter their crowd accordingly.
There is a lot more planned with the next version of the app but in the meantime, we would love to hear feedback from all you guys about whats good and bad about it, and what you would like to see. Write us a few lines at feedback[at]myguestlist[dot]com[dot]au
And that’s the way it is, this Thursday 6th November. Untill next time, party hard but stay fresh.
We are always innovating here at MyGuestList…
Today, we announce the update of our gallery application. Loads of extra features and benefits:
- Allow your patrons to comment, vote and rate pictures
- Track album and picture views
- A feature to allow patrons to email the picture to their friends (further growing your database)
- Have as many categories & sub-albums as you need.
- Create private albums that only select VIP patrons have access to.
- Write descriptions for albums and pictures.
…and much much more.
The gallery is completely customised to match the look and feel of your website (just like our guestlist page), have a look at one of our client’s gallery page – The Balcony Gallery
Good news guys.
It is now possible to have contact forms placed on your site (which still look the same as your current ones) that not only send you an email, but capture the details of the person contacting you, and store it right in your database. Do whatever you like with them. Email them, message them, call them over for dinner. It’s in your hands.
Best of all, its free!
MyGuestlist users enjoy a number of techniques for growing their database, but until now there was no way of measuring how well these techniques were working.
Is the gallery working?
Do people put in their personal information when creating guestlists?
What works better?
Today, we have released a new reporting process called “Database Growth”. It will illustrate or tabulate the growth rate of your database over a period of time.
