Wow, thanks, that is an absolutely awesome list no matter where in the social networking scene you would choose to apply it!

ie. I didn't think Twitter had such a big following in Australia yet? (personally I only know of 2 friends who use it) Either way I'll be using these ideas in email newsletters and Facebook for sure!! :-)

Boys

You can use both without having to choose one over another. They can be complimentary to each other.

Steve, Twitter's simplicity in only having a status to update, is what makes it powerful. Now with social search, lists and geolocation tagging, it serves as a pulse for the world in the transmission of information.

If you haven't already, do some research on how many of the world's most recent events, tragedies and other happenings, have been documented and reported by Twitter users first and large media companies later.

Having said that, Facebook too can be used in conjunction with our MyGuestlist tool here to track friend's birthdays, special events, and serve as a platform where you can distribute viral content such as videos, competitions etc.

Mate I would much rather that where people will actually see your flyers and info on your nights than that Twitter crap which as I said is only a small part of what facebook already does. Just stupid if you ask me.

Actually some good points up there. I always found myself having nothing to say relevant to our nights apart from normal promoting but that's given me some ideas to work with now.

Nick

You're welcome.

Also remember, don't get caught in the race for followers. Provide value first even to a small subset of people, and follow people which you yourself are interested in keeping up to date with, and you will get the value that Twitter provides.
